Jill Quek
Jill Quek was awarded the Coach Recognition Award by the Singapore Sports Council in 2007. She has been coaching floorball competitively for 8 years, with both international and local coaching experience. She also understudied and assisted Finland’s Youth Regional Girls Team in November 2007. Jill was the Assistant Coach of the Singapore Men’s Floorball Team in 2006.
On the local scene, she has coached schools at the various educational levels and some of the schools that have come under her belt include Nanyang Technological University, Raffles Junior College, and Institute of Technical Education.
Under her coaching, the Raffles Junior College Boys’ Team emerged the Champion of the “A” Division in 2008; the Bukit Merah Secondary Boys’ Team swept the Championship title for the “B” Division in 2007; the ITE Combined Boys’ Team won the gold medal at the 2006 POL-ITE Tournament. More recently, Raffles Institution took the second spot in the 2009 “C” Division Boys Tournament.
A star floorball player herself, Jill has represented Singapore in the Women’s Floorball Championships since 1999 and played at the elite level during overseas stints in Sweden and Finland.

The coaches of 13 Shining Stars, especially Ms Jill Quek, have offered a very holistic form of education for our students in terms of floorball skills and encouraging team spirit. Jill always manages to get our students to be very focused in their trainings and helps our students to improve their skills.
